WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE CHOOSING MY VEST?The bulletproof vest should be a garment offering a minimum level of protection against threats faced in everyday environment where it will be worn:
- Protection level has to be higher than weapon carried by the user, in that way, user will be protected against a possible attack with his/her own weapon.
- The vest must be provided with a written warranty from the manufacturer. Our vests have 5 years warranty according to NIJ standard.
- The printed label on ballistic sheet must show following information:
- Material used for manufacturing.
- Manufacturing date and batch
- Serial number
- Protection and threats level
- Maintenance instructions
- Direction in which the vest will be used (side of impact or side closest to the body)
- Warranty
- Manufacturer information and address
- In order to ensure that no imitations that could endanger user life are used, the manufacturer shall offer the certificate of origin of the raw material used in vests manufacturing.
- The manufacturer or seller must give pre and post sales advice about the product. It is important to provide every technical specification, local tests equipment, tests protocols, samples, demonstrations, local inspection service and all information concerning product maintenance.
- The manufacturer or seller must have NIJ certification or, failing that, local country certification where the product is commercialized.
